The 3 Biggest Reasons To Include Your Custom Business Logo On Your Primary Sign

Blog

The sign you have on your place of business serves a huge role in keeping your location recognizable, so when you are in the creation process, there are a lot of considerations that will be on the table. From picking the right color scheme to choosing the overall style, you may forget one very important thing: your business logo should also be a prominent part of your building sign. But why is that the case? There are three pretty important reasons why you should include your logo–at least in part–on the primary building sign for your place of business.

Your business logo is a crucial part of your business brand.

Any successful business owner will tell you that keeping your business recognizable among those of a similar niche or market is all about building your brand. Building your brand is basically creating a branded idea in the minds of your customers and clients. Part of this process is developing a recognizable logo that onlookers can easily associate with your business. Therefore, having your logo on your sign automatically helps to foster that visual branding idea that is so valuable to your business operation.

Your business logo will follow your customers from signage to advertisements.

There is no doubt that you use your company logo in advertising materials and marketing plans, so why not elaborate on the connection by also having your custom logo as part of your primary business sign? By utilizing the logo on all things related to your business, it is easier for customers to see connections between the physical property and marketing they have experienced related to your business. For example, if a customer sees your logo on a mail insert, they will automatically recall that insert when they see the logo displayed on your sign.

Your business logo tells unfamiliar onlookers more about your company.

The creation of a business logo is a process you probably will put a lot of thought into because this logo needs to send a message to customers about who you are and what you have to offer. Take for example the logo for Apple Computers. This logo is just a basic apple, but it conveys the message of fresh ideas and concepts. When passerby see your business logo on your sign, they can hopefully get an impression of who you are what it is that your business has to offer.

Never Underestimate the Importance of Good Business Signs

When I started my first business, I had taken a few business classes in college, but I still had a lot to learn. I had a good product to sell, but at first, sales were very slow. I wasn't sure just how to drum up business, and I didn't have money left in my budget to invest in a big marketing campaign. I was very lucky that local marketing professional stopped into my business, and although I couldn't afford to hire him, he did give me one free important tip: invest in better signage! Since signs are relatively affordable, I took his advice and traded in my old banner for a quality professionally designed sign. Foot traffic and sales increased rapidly. I learned a lot during the sign design process that I want to share on my new blog to help other small business owners out there who are struggling!
